Modern homes feature a myriad of different forms and layouts, and factors such as vaulted ceilings, indoor-outdoor space, and shifting surroundings necessitate alternative lighting design. In addition, a lightbulb in a closet is not sufficient; drawers, cabinets, and nooks and crannies require a specific push to make them functional and aesthetically pleasing. A licensed, insured contractor, such as an electrician or a licensed and accredited lighting designer, is your best chance.
1. Staircase Illumination
Now, for many individuals, stairwell lighting may appear somewhat unnecessary. We all expect a stairwell to have some sort of overhead lighting, such as a ceiling fixture, a chandelier, or something similar. The truth is that stairs can be both functional and aesthetically pleasing if treated as both an architectural and visual focal point. Consider that these lighting solutions are both useful and aesthetically pleasing to our light-trained eyes.
2. Creative Closet Illumination
Closets are not usually pleasant places; you may have one that is extremely tall, narrow, and deep; it was always dark on the top and in the back, and we were always afraid a closet monster would bite off our hands if we put our hands inside. Really, there is no explanation for a child's creativity! However, it would have been convenient to have LED strip lights to alter the entire ambiance of the closet.
3. Unique Outdoor Lighting
We typically do not see our decks or manicured spaces as an extension of our interior, climate-controlled, and lit space, but they may be! In addition, you can utilize lighting to emphasize and bring attention to an area that does not ordinarily exist during the day – or at least seems radically different – by illuminating it.
4. Hallway Illumination
Have you thought, "How beautiful is this place to display the beauty of color and light!" when you think of a hallway, or do you envision a straight path with doors and drab ceiling fixtures? We are aware of what the majority of people consider hallways to be: at best, a place to display a row of photos. Consider, however, that with the correct lighting, you may transform your world into a visual feast for your eyes as well as one that is bright, inviting, and relaxing to your senses.
5. Garage Illumination
While we may or may not consider lighting the area where our automobiles are parked, a large number of people obviously do so! Not only do they consider how to best see, present, and appreciate their automobiles, but there are also architects who construct homes for driving vehicles through them. Strange, but real!
